Why Switch from Sage 50 Manufacturing to Cim50?

Sage stopped developing new features for their Sage 50 Manufacturing software some time ago. Then, Sage announced their support services for the software would end in September 2021. Now, Sage don’t even recommend using the software and favour Cim50 instead.
The lack of development and support for Sage 50 Manufacturing is an obvious reason to switch to Cim50, but what else does this software have to offer?
  1. Continuous product development

Sage 50 Manufacturing hasn’t been developed for many years and is running on obsolete technology. Due to this, it has entered into an end-of-life process. Sage now recommend Cim50 as an alternative manufacturing software package for Sage 50 Accounts.

Cim50 offers the same features as Sage 50 Manufacturing, but improves on them, and includes over 100 additional assets. Cim50 is also continually being updated with new features to improve usability and service offerings, always keeping their expanding customer base in mind.
  1. Integration with Sage Accounts

As Sage 50 Manufacturing is no longer developed or supported by Sage, the integration between Sage 50 Manufacturing and Sage 50 Accounts is no longer tested or prioritised by Sage.

On the other hand, Cim50 is compatible with Sage 50 Accounts and is fully supported, ensuring that this vital integration between software packages is never interrupted.
All product record fields from Sage 50cloud Accounts can be accessed within Cim50.
  1. Easily customisable

Cim50 is easily customisable to fit any business needs. Users can select from a variety of different modules, with Stock Control as standard, giving complete visibility from supplier to customer.

Additional modules include: Bill of Materials, Works Orders Planning, Quotations, Shop Floor Data Capture and Dashboards.
Cim50 also includes additional, configurable analysis codes throughout each module, which can be tailored and set up to suit any business requirements.
  1. Easily controlled data backups

Cim50 has redesigned and changed the way data is backed up. Cim50 makes it easy to backup both Sage Accounts and Cim50 at the same time, ensuring both systems exist at the same point in time.
Automatic backups can also be scheduled so both Sage Accounts and Cim50 are tied together and never out of sync.
  1. Extra Features

Compared to Sage 50 Manufacturing, Cim50 offers more than 100 additional features as standard, providing a business-critical software that offers total control.

Extra features include: serial number traceability, email delivery notes, advanced KPI reporting, change of delivery address, printable picking lists, adjustable purchase receipts, credit note production, ability to stocktake non-traceable items and more.
