Smarter travel could cut £10 billion commuting bill

At onesys we have always promoted the use of technology to reduce unnecessary travel by our staff and clients. As part of our 'Green Policy' we actively promote home-working / remote working and online meetings in order to reduce our carbon footprint.

Some of the software we sell enables you to make the same arrangements as part of your business strategy.

The onesys case study has been included on the WorkWiseUK website, as an example of some of the difficulties faced and solutions found by UK businesses in order for them to function more productively and profitably, whilst also having a positive effect on the lives of their employees and the environment.

Work Wise UK is a not-for-profit initiative, which aims to make the UK one of the most progressive economies in the world by encouraging the widespread adoption of smarter working practices.

Commuting by car costs £10 billion per year on fuel alone, according to Work Wise UK and the AA which revealed the figure today (May 18) on Smarter Travel Day.

Visit their website to see how you can take a step in the right direction by adopting smarter working practices and by making full use of the available technology.

Software such as the Sage Coretime time tracking software can enable a more networked, real-time proactive management style that facilitates remote working.
