Orderline is based around a series of core modules that together provide comprehensive functionality for sales-order processing, purchasing, stock control, production scheduling, works order processing and financial accounting. These functions are tightly integrated, whilst being presented to users in a friendly and intuitive way. All screens share the same presentation and use the same keys for the same functions. Wherever possible a single screen is used to add, amend, delete and enquire on data so there are fewer screens to learn, whilst 'data prompts' are kept to a minimum.

Orderline has recently been upgraded to version 6, extensive development work has resulted in a completely new look with the One Office functionality being fully integrated. This allow the patented context sensitive dashboards to bring key information to the operators screen, and allows seamless drawing in of data from 3rd party applications.
